Boys & Girls Club of Lake County Kiwanis supports the Boys & Girls Club in providing safe, enriching programs that empower kids to learn, grow, and succeed.
Bravo! Waukegan Bravo provides the world of music to students at Waukegan public schools. In 2025, Kiwanis donated funds to Bravo so musical instrument could be purchased to boost their supply. Most often in the past, they had to order an instrument once there was a student request. Our donation has greatly shortened the time-frame it takes to get an instrument in the student’s hand.
College of Lake County Foundation The Kiwanis Childcare Grant funded annually helps cover the cost of childcare for students who need to bring their child to school. Without these grants, many students would not be able to attend class.
CROYA We fund CROYA programs that support youth leadership, service, and personal development in a positive and inclusive environment.
Evelyn Alexander Elementary School This is one of two schools Kiwanis provides backpacks and school supplies for all incoming Kindergartners.
Feed My Starving Children We volunteer at FMSC to pack lifesaving meals to children worldwide, helping fight hunger and malnutrition.
Fill a Heart 4 Kids Kiwanis contributes to Fill a Heart 4 Kids to support vulnerable and foster children with essentials, comfort, and encouragement.

Gigi’s Playhouse In 2023, Kiwanis donated funds to help with the buildout of Gigi’s new facility in Deerfield. Since then, we provide an annual contribution to help provide free educational and therapeutic programs for individuals with Down syndrome.
GLASA Kiwanis funds GLASA programs that empower youth with physical disabilities through adaptive sports and inclusive recreation.
Gorton Center The Gorton Center’s community programs provide arts, education, and enrichment opportunities for local families. Kiwanis is a sponsor for their Cornhole event and the Kids Only Shopping. We also participate in their Trunk or Treat night.
Josselyn Center Kiwanis helps expand access to mental health services for children and teens through the Josselyn Center’s compassionate care.
Keeping Families Covered Keeping Families Covered provides diapers, baby items, and essentials to families in need. We help fund a monthly mobile diaper distribution at the Highwood Metra Station.
Kiwanis Children’s Fund The Kiwanis Children’s Fund amplifies our global impact by supporting programs that improve the health, education, and safety of children.
Kiwanis Neuroscience Research Foundation Back in 1952, the Illinois-Eastern Iowa District Kiwanis Neuroscience Research Foundation (KNRF) was created as the I-I District’s finest project. The foundation relies solely on funds from Kiwanis family clubs in the district and provides grants to doctors conducting research to find cures or improve the quality of life for children and patients affected by nervous system diseases.
Our accomplishments include linking folic acid to preventing spina bifida, treating children with hydrocephalus, discovering the link between genetics and leukemia, which birthed the field of genetic oncology, and discovering proteins that affect brain development. We have also created a standard for measuring tremors.
